The cover of this issue is made up by a number of pictures of the Formale 1 including one taken on the occasion of the introduction to the press to the new car with Fiat President Romiti, Ferrari President Montezemolo and the drivers Schumacher and Irvine. There is Fiat Honorary President Mr. Agnelli who is always very interested in the activities of the favourite Company and there are racing moments of the 1997 season. We all know how this championship has ended and a commentary on the final events is to be found on page 30.
Ferrari 50: this is the flag fluttering during the past six months since the moment began the celebrations for the fifty years of sporting activity and victories of the most famous car manufacturer of the world.
For Ferrari Story november is also the anniversary of an extraordinary circumstance (it was the 1984) in which Enzo Ferrari did approve the idea and the tipographical layout of this magazine devoted to explore the history of his Company, a story that until then he did keep accurately secretive.
On the occasion of each new issue of the magazine Ferrari did punctually send an approval note, and we dare believe that he would like also the issues published after his demise, this one included.
